How we rank med spas
Every med spa receives an MSR Score from 0 to 100, computed from three weighted factors. The math is the same for everyone — including the businesses that pay us. Review ratings are shown where we can verify them, but they do not affect the score — too few listings have a verified rating for that to be fair.
Experience
35 ptsYears in business, capped at 20. Longevity in a competitive market signals safety, consistency, and client retention.
Medical Oversight
35 ptsWhether a physician or medical director actively supervises the practice. Medical aesthetics is medicine — oversight matters for safety.
Treatment Breadth
30 ptsHow many of our nine tracked treatment categories a practice actually offers, from injectables and lasers to GLP-1 weight management. Breadth reflects real investment in equipment, training, and staff.
The independence guarantee
MedSpaRankings is funded by med spas that purchase Enhanced and Featured placements. Those placements are always clearly labeled, appear in a dedicated position, and have zero effect on any MSR Score or top-10 ranking. If a Featured Partner also appears in the top 10, it's because they earned it — and if they fall out of the top 10, no payment brings them back.
We re-score every market as new review data arrives, and we publish score changes on each profile.
