How we rank med spas

Every med spa receives an MSR Score from 0 to 100, computed from five weighted factors. The math is the same for everyone — including the businesses that pay us.

Reputation

40 pts

The average verified review rating across major platforms. Reputation is the strongest signal of consistent client experience, so it carries the most weight.

Review Volume

25 pts

Total verified review count, log-scaled so that sustained, organic review growth is rewarded and a burst of new reviews can't game the score. Volume saturates around 500 reviews.

Experience

15 pts

Years in business, capped at 15. Longevity in a competitive market signals safety, consistency, and client retention.

Medical Oversight

12 pts

Whether a physician or medical director actively supervises the practice. Medical aesthetics is medicine — oversight matters for safety.

Accessibility

8 pts

Whether new clients can typically get a consultation within the same week. Great care that nobody can book isn't great care.

The independence guarantee

MedSpaRankings is funded by med spas that purchase Enhanced and Featured placements. Those placements are always clearly labeled, appear in a dedicated position, and have zero effect on any MSR Score or top-10 ranking. If a Featured Partner also appears in the top 10, it's because they earned it — and if they fall out of the top 10, no payment brings them back.

We re-score every market as new review data arrives, and we publish score changes on each profile.
